Migration Setup

To automate a migration, set a location for the migration directory and the data directory on your network. You can identify these two directories on the same server or on separate servers on your network.

Follow these steps:

1. Enter the file path and name for the location of the migration directory in the Migration Directory field.

   DMM Director automatically copies or creates all necessary files to execute the configured automated migration into the migration directory.

2. Enter the file path and name for the location of the data directory in the Data Directory field.

   Note: Ensure that all computers have access to the Migration and Data Directories. CA Technologies recommends you use UNC paths instead of mapped drives to avoid access issues during migrations.

3. Click Next to advance to the next page.
