The File and Folder Destinations page lets you view and redirect the locations of the files and folders that you want to migrate to the destination:
The following occurs depending on your choice:
The following options appear on the dialog:
Redirects all subfolders that might be under the current folder. The only subfolders that are not redirected are shell folders (my documents, default user, and so on).
The following options appear on the dialog:
Preserves the original directory structure of the files found by the search filter (this directory structure is created inside the selected destination folder).
Note: If you have a filter, for example "all of the .bmp files on my C drive" you can redirect these files to "My Pictures." In this circumstance, clear the Preserve directory structure check box.
Important: If you do not choose to preserve the directory structure, duplicate files redirected to the same folder might be overwritten.
The following options appear on both dialogs:
Specifies the new path for the selected file or folder.
Note: You can use DMM or environmental variables when redirecting folders, files, and filters. When redirecting system folders (My Documents), they are automatically re-registered.
Lets you search for the desired destination.
Note: To clear a redirection you do not want to apply, double-click the redirection, clear the Destination dialog, and then click OK. The redirection is cleared.
