Create a Merger and Acquisition Template

You can create a Merger and Acquisition template (MA Config file) to use in Merger and Acquisition Tool. Use this template to map and provide it to multiple migrations.

Merger and Acquisition Tool takes only those users from the template which are present on the computer, and maps them based on the information provided in the template.

To create a Merger and Acquisition template

  1. Open DMM Template Editor from Start, Programs, CA, Desktop Migration Manager, Migration Toolkit.
  2. Click File, New in the DMM Template Editor.
  3. Select Merger & Acquisition Template, and click OK.
  4. Specify the settings for the Users node.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Enter the name of the new template and click Save.

    Note: Do not change the default template file name extension (.dtf)

    The template file is saved with the given settings.
