Enable Verification of a DNA File

CA DMM can perform a quick verification at the end of the deferred migration process to check for a possible DNA file corruption, provided the checksums are present in the DNA file. You can enable verification in the DMM Options Editor.

Note: The DNA files created from the previous versions of CA DMM (prior to r11.1) will not have the checksums in the DNA file. So, you cannot perform a quick verification on such files.

To enable verification of a DNA file from the DMM Options Editor

  1. Open DMM Options Editor from the Start, Programs, CA, Desktop Migration Manager, Migration Toolkit.
  2. Open the options file that you use for migration. The default options file is DDNAOptions.dox.

The options file opens with various options.

  3. Click Advanced in the tree view.

    The advanced options appear.

  4. Select the Verify DNA file check box and click Save.

The verification is enabled. When you create a DNA file using this option, the file verification starts when you apply or store the DNA file.
