Add a Domain User

If you want to migrate domain users, that do not exist under in the Users Selection tab, add the domain users.

Note: Ensure that you have full administrator rights to migrate multiple users in Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Settings, Users in the left pane.
  2. Expand the All network user profiles on the source computer tree item.
  3. Expand the domain under which you want to create the user.

    Note: If the domain does not exist, first add the domain.

  4. Click Add User.
  5. Edit the user name and press the Enter key.

    A new domain user is created and enabled for migration.

  6. (Optional) Click Passwords.

    Important! Ensure that you have domain administrative rights, when you migrate one or more users to a new or different domain. If you migrate user profiles that are associated with domain accounts or Active Directory accounts, ensure that the user has local administrative privileges and is a member of the domain administrator group. Administrative right lets a user create accounts on the local computer during migration.
