Accessing CA DMM

You must define whether CA DMM is accessed and run from the Migration directory on the server, or accessed on each workstation.

To specify how to access CA DMM

1. Select one of the following access options:

   From the migration directory

   The path entered on the Migration Setup page for the migration directory is set as the location from which to run CA DMM during migrations. This runs CA DMM over the network if you have entered a path to a server.

   Director Setup ensures the DMM executable and all related files are automatically copied into the Migration directory.

   From the workstation

   DMM Director automatically determines if the most recent version of CA DMM is installed. If it is already installed, it is used to perform the migration.

   If CA DMM is not located on the workstation, DMM Director automatically performs a silent installation of CA DMM before initiating the migration.

2. Click Next.
