Winamp can be used to play the music files and manage them in a playlist. Besides MP3, Winamp supports a very wide variety of contemporary and specialized music file formats, including MIDI, MOD, MPEG-1 audio layers 1 and 2, AAC, M4A, FLAC, WAV, and Windows Media Audio.

Settings Description
The Winamp script includes the following:
- The Settings option migrates all the settings of Winamp.
- The Skins option migrates the skin for the Winamp.
- The Local Playlists option migrates the local playlists. This is applicable only for 3.0.
Migration Path
- From 2.8 to 2.8
- From 3.0 to 3.0
Notes
- If a newer version of the skin is available on the destination, it will not be overwritten.
- Some Winamp3 skins use scripts and store preferences specially. These settings may not migrate properly.
- If the default playlist editor is not used to control its local playlists, the playlist will not be migrated. This is applicable only for 3.0.
- Your playlists may not be valid until you move your media files to the same location on the migration target. You must migrate these files using the file and folder selection. This is applicable only for 3.0.
Limitations
- Upgrade from Winamp 2.8 to 3.0 is not supported.
