Enable Manifest Log

By default, CA DMM does not create a Manifest log. You might want to enable the creation of Manifest logs for your migrations as they contain valuable information on exactly what was migrated.

To enable the creation of Manifest logs, follow these steps:

  1. Open the DMM Options Editor from the Start menu as follows:

C:\Programs Files\CA\Desktop Migration Manager, Migration Toolkit, DMM Options Editor

    The DMM Options Editor opens.

  2. Click the Logging branch.

The branches for the various types of logs appear.

  3. Click the log you want to change. For example, click Manifest Log.

The page for the selected log appears.

  4. Check Create Manifest Log, and then click the Save toolbar button.

Note: You can enter a path before the environment variable for the log file name in the Path to Save xxx Log field, where xxx is the name of the log if you want to save the Manifest log to a different directory.

Your changes are saved to the DDNAOptions.dox file.

  5. Close the DMM Options Editor.

Your changes to the overwrite options take effect the next time you run CA DMM.
