Settings Description

The Internet Explorer script migrates the following:

The Addressbook option migrates the address book settings which is a list of contact information also known as address profiles.
The Certificates option migrates the certificates found under the path Tools, Internet Options, Content Tab.
The Connection option migrates the connection settings that specify how the browser connects to the Internet, such as proxy settings.
The Cookies option migrates the cookies which are small files left from the websites to remember settings and information for revisiting the site.
The Favorites option migrates the favorites settings which are quick links to the websites; also known as bookmarks.
The General option migrates the general settings found under Internet Options. These settings include the items - Home Page, Security, Privacy, Personal Information, and Advance Options
The Manage Add-Ons option migrates the add-on setting which allows users to enable or disable a particular Add-on in the list.
The Pop-Up Blocker option migrates the pop-up settings which allow users to specify how Internet Explorer must handle Pop-Ups.

The migration paths are as follows:

Notes

To migrate the rating files, you must create a filter for '*.rat' files.
The temporary internet files will not be migrated. The location of the files can be changed using the IE setting from Tools, Internet Options, Settings, Move Folder.

Limitations

When you migrate from 7 to 10, 8 to 10, 9 to 10, or 10 to 10, HTML editor under the path Tools, Internet Options, Programs, HTML editing, cannot be migrated.
When you migrate from IE 7 to IE8, IE 7 to IE 9, IE 7 TO 10, IE 8 to IE 9, IE 8 to IE 10, the following settings cannot be migrated:
- Tools, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings, Automatically Detect Settings
- Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, Browsing, Disable script debugging (Other)
