Step 2: Define Transaction and Programs to CICS

To access CA View using CICS, define the required transactions and programs for the CICS interface.

Use the following sample jobs described to define:

• Define sample CA View transaction: VW1
• Define CA View service transaction: XMC0
• Define optional CA View startup transaction: VWI
• Define optional CA View shutdown transaction: VWX
• Define CA View CICS retrieval programs:

• Optionally, define one or more site specific transaction identifiers for the pseudo-conversational program EC0XMCIC.

Note:

• You must define a separate, unique transaction identifier for each CA View database you want to access under CICS.
