In basic report processing, there is a one-to-one correspondence between the SYSOUT data set and the report.
Only one report is defined for the SYSOUT DD statement. Records are written out as they are obtained.
In dynamic report processing, report pages can be uniquely named and distributed based on the content of the report data.
You can use one dynamic report definition to create many unique reports. A dynamic report definition can replace maintaining hundreds or thousands of individual report definitions in the CA Deliver database.
A dynamic report definition utilizes a template for naming of the report ID and distribution ID for each page. The template name can consist of text, user-defined variables, or system variables. User-defined variable names identify the location of information on each page. System variable names identify system, job, step, and data definition information.
