Modify an existing table column decimal number to precision 6 with a scale of 2 decimals. This assumes the previous column was such that no data is lost.

  1. Table name: DEPTTBL
  2. Column name: PROJSTAFF
  3. Data type: DECIMAL 
       ALTER TABLE DEPTTBL
        MODIFY PROJSTAFF DECIMAL(6,2)
