EDIT - Display a Member

Purpose

The EDIT command allows you to edit any private member you own or copy and edit any member you can access, if you give the copied version a new name. You become the new member's author. You can enter the command with a valid existing member name and display the CA Dataquery Editor with the current version of the member. Or, you can enter EDIT * to edit the active query. If you enter EDIT without an operand and press Enter, CA Dataquery presents the Edit Command prompt panel. From that panel, you can see a list of public members that you can access. See Panels for details on using the Edit Command prompt panel or the Directory of Queries and Terms.
