Import Data into Excel
After you create a master spreadsheet, you can import data into it.
To import data into an Excel spreadsheet for MS-Excel 2003
- Open the "empty" master spreadsheet saved earlier.
- Save the spreadsheet with a new name.
- Select BVM tab.
- Click on cell A1.
- Click on DATA > Import External Data > Import Data.
A browse screen appears.
- Use the browse screen to locate the BVM.txt file just downloaded and click on that file to import to the Excel worksheet.
- Choose "Delimited", start input at row "1", then click NEXT.
- Choose Delimiter as "semi-colon" (or whatever you used in the DSVOUT function), then click FINISH.
- Select OK to insert at A1.
- Repeat for each tab that you want to upload.
To import data into an Excel spreadsheet for MS-Excel 2007
- Open the "empty" master spreadsheet saved earlier.
- Save the spreadsheet with a new name.
- Select BVM tab.
- Click on cell A1.
- Click on DATA > From text
A browse screen appears.
- Use the browse screen to locate the BVM.txt file just downloaded and click on that file to import to the Excel worksheet.
- Choose "Delimited", start input at row "1", then click NEXT.
- Choose Delimiter as "semi-colon" (or whatever you used in the DSVOUT function), then click FINISH.
- Select OK to insert at A1.
- Repeat for each tab that you want to upload.
