Step 1. Add JCLLIB Members

This step:

• Executes IEBUPDTE to add the customized JCLLIB members
• Allocates the backup and VLS files for CA Datacom/DB Version 15.0
• Allocates all the database areas and control data sets
• Formats and loads all the databases and control areas for the MUF

Follow these steps:

1. Retrieve member BDUPG01 from your INSTJCL library.
2. Make the required global changes (see the instruction block).
3. Submit the JCL to complete this step.
4. Review the output for successful completion which is indicated with a condition code of 00. If you receive any other code, correct your changes and resubmit the JCL.

Pay special attention to the edit instructions concerning CA Datacom Datadictionary user entities.

Note: Pay attention to the allocation sizes of the backup data sets. If your CA Datacom environment is large, consider increasing the allocation size of these data sets.
