Set Up CAICCI

The CAICCI-PC Properties dialog allows you to specify TCP/IP (z/OS only) properties. This defines the CCI default connection and provides the ability to test the CCI connection. The CCI test button in the CCI dialog only tests that the CCI connection is established to the system defined in the CCI panel.

Note: CAICCI-PC is not required. If CAICCI is not present in the windows environment, the CCI Setup button on the CA Datacom/DB ODBC Setup dialog will not be available and the only method for communications is TCP/IP (z/OS only)

To set up CAICCI

  1. Click the CCI Setup button.

    The CAICCI-PC Properties dialog appears.

  2. Click Start from the Test tab on the CAICCI-PC Properties window.

    The Test dialog displays the active protocol and the Test log.

  3. Select the TCP/IP (z/OS only) tab and complete the fields. You must obtain this information from your administrator.
  4. Click OK to finish.

    The CA Datacom/DB ODBC Setup screen appears.
