When to Use

Use the REPORT AREA=LXX option to obtain information about the Log Area. Specifically, you can use this report to determine the highest Transaction Sequence Number (TSN).

You can request a Log Area report any time. The information obtained reflects information stored on disk, not necessarily the current information the Multi-User Facility is using.
