How to Use the Console Command

Multi-User mode is required to execute this command.

Use the following in your command to initiate this function from the system console. Consult your site operating system documentation for additional syntax information.

COMM

You can omit the COMM function name when submitting this console command.

STATS

Requests that current statistics be written.

Required Keywords

ALL

Specify ALL, if you want all databases to be processed. If you request that STATS be written for all databases, STATS are written for all databases that are not virtual databases. If any databases are virtual databases, a warning message is issued.

dbid

Specify a database ID, if you want only one particular database to be processed. If you request STATS for a particular database and the database is virtual, a warning message is issued, and no stats are written.
