A request to OPEN a table that is already open is ignored by the Accounting Facility. Because the OPEN and CLOSE options are scheduled asynchronously, an OPEN followed immediately by a CLOSE can result in the table not being opened. If the table OPEN has not started by the time the CLOSE is received, the table is not opened (see ACCT CLOSE (Close Accounting Tables)).
