When to Use

Use this option as needed to issue commands with batch DBUTLTY jobs. This allows console-like commands to be issued from DBUTLTY SYSIN without the need for authority to issue console commands in z/OS or asking the operator to issue the command on your behalf. No special setup is required to be able to use the option. Because DBUTLTY can be secured using external security packages, using this command does not result in any security exposure.
