Previously, we recommended that you APF Authorize the CA Datacom execution (load) libraries. Authorized libraries are required for running CA Datacom Version 14.0.
Business Value
Many of the most critical CA Datacom functions require that an APF Authorized library be enabled. These functions include Data Sharing, Access Anywhere (XCF), and SRB mode (zIIP exploitation). APF Authorized libraries provide the Multi-User Facility (MUF) with the ability to manage the system functions needed to run successfully. DBUTLTY is required to run authorized but can execute some functions not being authorized. The reason this exists is because of user job streams that use JOBLIB that includes DBUTLTY executions. These need to be corrected to have STEPLIB for DBUTLTY to allow authorization.
