Example Mapping for 'Multiple Choice List' Classification Property
You need a classification rule that assigns the FSRM 'Global' classification property to files. When you created this property previously, you added values of PII, PHI, NPI and Unrestricted. In this example, you set the classification value to:
- PII if the CCS returns any Personally Identifiable Information classification.
- PHI if the CCS returns any Personal Health Information classification.
- NPI if the CCS returns any Non Public Information classification.
- Unrestricted if the CCS returns any other classification.
To configure the required mapping, define the advanced rule parameters in the Additional Rule Parameters dialog as follows:
Name
Value
Personally Identifiable Information
PII
Personal Health Information
PHI
Non Public Information
NPI
<default>
Unrestricted
Now, the classification rule assigns classification values as follows:
- The rule assigns a PII value if the CCS returns a classification of:
Personally Identifiable Information\<any>
- The rule also assigns a PHI value if the CCS additionally returns a classification of:
Personal Health Information\<any>
- The rule also assigns a NPI value if the CCS additionally returns a classification of:
Non Public Information\<any>
- The rule assigns an Unrestricted value if the CCS returns any classification that is not listed in the Name column. The <default> entry in the Name column means, in effect, 'any other classification'.
