Configure Logging Details

You configure the log files in the Administration console on the server hosting the preclassification agent.

To define logging details

  1. Right-click a file scanning server and click Properties.

    The Server Properties dialog appears.

  2. Go to the Logging tab and configure the following settings:
    Log Level

Determines the level of logging for file processing. For example, you can configure the preclassification agent to log only errors or important system messages.

    Maximum number of log files

Defaults to 10. When the maximum number of log files exists and the newest log file reaches its maximum size, the preclassification agent deletes the oldest log file. The preclassification agent can then create a new log file.

    Maximum log file size

Defaults to 1,000,000. This setting specifies the maximum size for each log file (in bytes). When the current log file reaches its maximum size, the preclassification agent creates a new log file.
