The Milter MTA agent captures emails transiting through a Sendmail or Postfix server, typically located on the boundary of your corporate network. However, unlike Exchange and Domino integration, if the Milter MTA agent quarantines an email, be aware that the email may already have been sent to some recipients if it was routed to them via an Exchange or Domino server without passing through the Sendmail or Postfix server.
This situation typically applies to emails sent to both internal and external recipients. Depending on how your CA DataMinder server agents and user policies are configured, it is possible that a ‘quarantine action’ applied by the Milter MTA agent will only affect external recipients; internal recipients may already have received the email.
