Viruses and Captured E-mails

Important! If your virus scanners fail to prevent a virus attack, infected e-mails may be captured and saved in your CA Data Protection database.

If your organization suffers a virus attack, there is a risk that infected e-mails or attachments may be captured and saved in your CA Data Protection database. If this happens, you must delete any infected e-mails or attachments from all affected CA Data Protection databases (on the CMS plus any gateways or client machines that may also be at risk) as part of your cleanup operations after the attack.
