Configure Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Server Connector

Connectors are a collection of instructions that help you customize the way your email flows. Configure the connector for Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Server to send outbound mails to Sendmail server.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Microsoft Office Exchange Server as an admin user.
  2. Select Exchange in the Admin drop-down.
  3. In the Exchange admin center that appears, select mail flow option.
  4. Select connectors tab.
  5. In Outbound Connectors section, add a new connector. The new outbound connector dialog appears and has the following fields:
    Name

    Specifies the outbound connector name. To ensure that a connector is active, select the Enable outbound connector check box.

    Connector type

    Specifies the connector type for the outbound mail. Select the Partner connector type.

    Outbound delivery

    Specifies where the outbound mail is to be delivered. Select the Route mail through smart host option. Add the details of the smart host, which is the public IP of the Linux Server that hosts Sendmail.

    Recipient domains section

    Specifies outbound domains that receive mails through this connector. Add a recipient domain and provide the domain details.

  6. Click save button.

    The connector is now configured to send outbound mails to Sendmail server.
