RDM Requirements

The following are RDM requirements:

Archive solutions

For the current release, the RDM utility supports IBM Content Collector, Zantaz EAS, Symantec Enterprise Vault, and EMC SourceOne.

Note: RDM configuration for Enterprise Vault requires the RDM to be installed on the SEV server or EV Administration Console.

Email solution

The host machine must have either an Exchange compatible application or Lotus Notes installed.

Important! This must be the default email application on the host machine.

CA Data Protection Infrastructure

You must change the logon account for the infrastructure service to a named user. For integrations with EAS, EV and SourceOne, there are additional requirements.

(Optional for EMC SourceOne versions less than 6.8.2) For EMC SourceOne integration, change the logon account for the infrastructure service to Master Service Account of EMC. Add the same Master Service Account to the Users and Administrator Groups.

IIS server

RDM requests are serviced by an IIS server; you must specify the IIS server by name, not by IP address. For details, see step 6 in ‘Install the RDM’.

Note: The .NET Framework 3.5.1 Features component in Server Manager must be installed.
