How to Upgrade a CA Data Protection Computer

All CA Data Protection upgrades can be run using a single executable. CA Data Protection automatically detects that you are upgrading and launches the appropriate installation wizard.

Follow these steps:

1. Run setup.exe on each 64-bit host computer.

   Run setup32.exe on each 32-bit host computer.

   Find these files in the root of the CA Data Protection distribution image.

2. The CA Data Protection server installation wizard starts.

   The wizard automatically detects that you are upgrading. You do not need to supply any further details.

3. Proceed to the final screen and install the upgrade.
4. When the upgrade completes, restart the computer.
