The CMS holds the central database for your CA Data Protection installation. This database contains the policies for all your systems and users, plus all the captured data (such as emails, files, and Web pages) associated with these users.
Install the CMS before deploying CA Data Protection to client systems. Also install an Administration console. Use the console to perform various configuration tasks before you roll out CA Data Protection across your organization.
