Options Dialog - Content Proxy

Use this tab to connect an iConsole or Data Management console to a content proxy server. You must specify a content proxy server in order to run content searches. The content proxy server links the console to a content database.

Automatically select server

The console chooses a proxy server automatically.

Click this option if there is only a single proxy server connected to your CMS or if you have multiple proxy servers connected to a single content database.

Note: Do not click this option if you intend to run content searches in the Data Management console and you have multiple content proxy servers connected to different content databases.

Choose specific server

This option lists all the content proxy servers currently running on your CA DLP enterprise.

Click this option if you have:

• Multiple proxy servers connected to different content databases. Choose the proxy server that is connected to the database containing the captured data you want.
• Multiple proxy servers connected to a single content database. Choose the proxy server with, for example, the fastest or the most secure database connection.
