Use this tab to configure warnings and refresh intervals for content agents.
You can change the refresh interval for the list of content agents and for individual content agents.
When the agent list is refreshed, the list shows any changes in agent build status and publish status.
When an individual agent view is refreshed, it show changes to the agent's version number, build status, build progress and publish status.
If you have many agents, you may want to increase these refresh intervals or turn them off completely (by clearing the check boxes). Updating the agent list requires the CMS to contact each Index Builder machine, which in turn may affect the performance of the Administration console.
Note: Press F5 to manually refresh the agent lists.
Select this check box to display a warning to a user if they remove an item from a content agent's list of protected files and folders.
This warning reminds users that, even if a file or folder is removed from the protected list, it remains protected until the content agent's index has been purged and rebuilt. That is, a file may still get blocked even if it is no longer on the protected list.
Note: Users can remove protected files or folders by viewing the content agent and then choosing Edit, Remove Location from the main console menu.
Select this check box to display a warning to a user if they add a file or folder where the path includes a drive letter (for example, M:\Memos\My_Report.docx). This warning reminds users that we recommend only using UNC paths.
Unless protected files or folders use a UNC path, CA DLP may be unable to locate them when it builds the agent's content index. This is because file paths are resolved locally on the Index Builder machine (the machine running the content indexing service) and not on the machine hosting the Administration console.
For example, M:\Memos\My_Report.docx will only be protected if M: drive on the Index Builder machine maps to the same network folder as M: drive on the Administration console host machine.
