Tomcat Web Application Server

In a typical BOXI deployment, customers use Tomcat as the web application server. CA Business Intelligence 3.2 includes Apache Tomcat 5.5.

However, Apache have announced that the end of support for Tomcat 5.5 in late 2012. We therefore recommend that you update Tomcat to the most recent patch level as soon as possible after installing CA Business Intelligence 3.2. Specifically, SAP BOXI 3.1 SP4 supports for Tomcat 6.0.178.

Note: CA Business Intelligence 3.3 will include BOXI 3.1 SP4 and Tomcat 7. We plan to test Tomcat 7 in integrations between CA DLP and BOXI when CA Business Intelligence 3.3 is released.
