Assign an IP Address to the 'Policy Engine' Port s0.e2

(Bivio 2000 appliances only.)

Before you can run the NBA in active mode, you must assign a 'suitable' IP address to the data inspection port s0.e2. The NBA uses this port to connect to the network segment hosting the CA DLP policy engines. A 'suitable' IP address is one that provides access to this network segment.

If you have already assigned a suitable IP address to this port, no further configuration is needed.

To assign an IP address to port s0.e2

  1. Log on to the NBA console and browse to the Administration screen.
  2. Go to the IP Address Configuration section and enter a network IP address for the NBA and a subnet mask:
    Data Port Address

Enter an IP address for port s0.e2. This address must be on the same subnet as your policy hub and policy engines and on a different subnet to the management port. For example:

    10.0.12.8.

    Netmask

Enter a subnet mask for the network segment on which the NBA is located.

  3. Click Modify to confirm the new address.
