Create a Default Home Page
The default home page is available to all your users. You can also specify whether users are allowed to create a personal home page by customizing the default home page.
To create a default home page
- Click the Home tab and go to the Default Layout page.
- Click the
Customize link in the top right of the iConsole screen.
The Customize Home Page dialog displays.
- Click the Global Portlets tab.
The available portlets are displayed.
- Select the checkboxes for portlets that you want to appear on the home page. Clear the checkboxes for portlets that you want to remove.
The selected portlets appear on the home page.
- Go to the Layout tab and specify a column layout.
- Click Close.
The home page is displayed with the selected layout.
- Drag and drop portlets to their desired location in a column.
- (Optional) Click the
Settings link in a portlet titlebar to configure the portlet.
- (Optional) Click Collapse Portlet in the titlebar of a portlet to reduce clutter on the screen.
The home page layout is saved.
- (Optional) Click Settings to configure the global settings for the home page.
For example, you can specify that the home page is optional. That is, users are permitted to remove the home page. You can also allow users to define personal portlets for inclusion on their personal home page.
