Assign a User Category

You can assign a user category to a user to control which CA DLP features and actions are available to a user.

To assign a user category to a user

  1. Right-click a user and click Properties.
  2. In the User Properties dialog, go to the Details tab.
  3. Click Change User Category and select the new category.

    Note: After assigning a category, you can still grant any combination of privileges to that user. If you do change their privileges, CA DLP changes that user’s category to Custom. For example, if you grant a Manager the complete set of privileges, that user’s category changes from Manager to Custom because their privileges no longer match those associated with the Manager category.
