Enable Interactive Warnings

Finally, turn on support for interactive warnings on the Exchange server or IIS server. To allow the Exchange server agent or IIS SMTP agent to send interactive warning emails, you must configure the EnableInteractiveWarnings registry value.

If required, you can also modify the default timeout for heeded warnings. To do this, you must modify the WarningHeedTimeoutMins registry value.

• For Exchange 2003 and IIS SMTP, you edit these registry values on the Exchange server or IIS server host machine.
• For Exchange Server 2007 and 2010, you edit these registry values on each Hub Transport Server.

  Important! You must then set the UpdateConfig registry value to 1 for changes to this value to take effect.
