SQL Server Database for CA DLP

Applicable to the CMS and gateways

Before installing the CMS or a gateway, you must create a new SQL Server database for CA DLP. The installation wizard will create the necessary database tables and, optionally, the required logins when you install the CMS or gateway.

For details about installing a server, see the Deployment Guide. For CMSs and gateways running a SQL Server database, the installation wizard will prompt you for:

Host server

When you select the server hosting the database, the IP port and database name are set automatically, though both can be changed.

Primary user

This is the main CA DLP database login. For SQL Server databases, the primary user owns the schema.

Search User

The CA DLP consoles use this login when running event searches.
