Stop and Restart CPUs

The CPUs screen in the NBA console shows performance details for each CPU. Use this screen to stop and restart the CPUs.

Note: We strongly recommend that you only do this under the guidance of CA Technical Support.

To stop and restart CPUs

  1. Log on to the NBA console and browse to the CPUs screen.
  2. (Bivio 2000 appliances only) Use the Reboot and Halt buttons to stop and restart individual CPUs.

    This is useful if you want to channel all traffic through a single CPU for testing or diagnostic purposes. For example, you can test cpu-1 in isolation by using the Halt button to stop cpu-2 through cpu-6.

  3. (Bivio 7000 appliances only) Use the Reboot buttons to restart all CPUs.
