Integration Procedure for ZANTAZ EAS

Three CA DLP components are required to integrate with ZANTAZ EAS:

  1. External Agent API: First, you need to install the External Agent API on the EAS server.

The External Agent API enables CA DLP to integrate with third party email archives such as EAS. It converts archived emails into CA DLP event files and saves them to a pickup folder (a shared network folder) where they can be accessed by the Event Import utility.

Note: Pay particular attention to step 3 of Install the External Agent API. You will need edit the EAS.INI file and run the EAS indexer process.

You can test whether CA DLP console users are able to retrieve emails archived in EAS.

  2. Event Import: The Event Import utility retrieves the extracted emails from the pickup folder specified in step 1 and imports them into the CMS. Full instructions for installing Event Import machines are given in Event Import.
  3. RDM: Finally, you need to install the Remote Data Manager (RDM). The RDM enables CA DLP to retrieve events that are archived in third party remote storage locations and display them in the iConsole or Data Management console.

To install the RDM, you run the CA DLP server installation wizard. In the Remote Data Manager Configuration screen, select ZANTAZ EAS from the archive list and specify the EAS server and port number.
