Hub Host Machine Requirements

The following are requirements for the machine hosting the policy engine hub:

PE domain user must be local administrator

The PE domain user must be a member of the local Administrators group on the machine hosting the policy engine hub. Confirm that this is so before installing the policy engine hub.

Exchange server agent

The Exchange server agent does not require any other CA DLP software to be installed on the same machine. It does, however, require:

• Windows 2003 or XP, and
• Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, 2007, or 2010 (but see the note below)

Note: If the hub is deployed with the Exchange 2007 or 2010 server agent on a 64-bit machine, note that this affects the location of the hubs installation folder, registry keys, log files and performance counters.

Domino server agent

The Domino server agent does not require any other CA DLP software to be installed on the same machine. It does, however, require:

• Windows 2003 or XP, and
• Lotus Domino 6.0.4, 6.5, 7.x, or 8

Note: CA DLP integration with Domino has been tested using the Domino versions listed above. The Domino server agent may integrate successfully with other versions of Domino, but these have not been tested.

IIS SMTP agent

The IIS SMTP agent does not require any other CA DLP software to be installed on the same machine. It requires the following:

• Windows 2003 or 2008, and
• IIS 6.0 with SMTP service

Note: CA DLP integration with IIS SMTP has been tested using the version listed above. The IIS SMTP agent may integrate successfully with other versions of IIS, but these have not been tested.
