Upgrades from version 5.0 will encounter a behavior change inpolicy inheritance. In the current CA DLP version, changes to a parent policy are no longer automatically enforced in child policies.
In the User Policy Editor or Machine Policy Editor, the Tools menu now includes Automatically Enforce Modified Settings. This lets administrators optionally enforce policy changes inherited by child policies. For details, see the Administrator Console online; search the index for ‘parent-child policy inheritance’.
