Upgrades from version 5.0 will encounter new settings in the machine policy. These settings determines which CA DLP user policy is applied to files or emails when the policy participant cannot be determined by other means:
This setting has been renamed. In version 5.0, it was Default User.
For CMSs upgraded from 5.0, the old Default User setting gets renamed but retains its old value. That is, the renamed Unknown Internal Sender setting still specifies the same user account as before the upgrade.
This setting has been renamed. In version 5.0, it was Fallback User.
For CMSs upgraded from 5.0, the old Fallback User setting gets renamed but retains its old value. That is, the renamed External Sender setting still specifies the same user account as before the upgrade.
This setting was new in version 6.0. It determines which user policy is applied to captured, scanned or imported files if no other means are available to determine the policy participant.
For CMSs upgraded from version 5.0, you must either create this user account or edit the Default Policy for Files setting to specify an existing user account.Whichever user account you use, you must configure the Data In Motion or Data At Rest triggers as necessary.
