Configure IBM DB2 CommonStore for Exchange
IBM DB2 CommonStore for Exchange needs to be configured to treat the unique ID generated by the UA as an indexed property. To do this:
- When configuring the IBM DB2 CommonStore Server (archpro), you need to model the archint.ini settings on the example below:
ARCHIVE: CSXAPMARCHIVE
STORAGETYPE: CM
LIBSERVER: ICMNLSDB
ITEM_TYPE: CSXAPMMail
CMUSER: CSXUSER
ARCHIVETYPE: BUNDLED
Note: The only supported archive type is 'BUNDLED'.
- In the System Manager for IBM DB2 CommonStore for Exchange, configure the Task Administration Data as normal, selecting the appropriate Exchange Server. That is, the server the Universal Adapter is using for its mailbox output.
- Before configuring the Archive Objects, select Message Properties and add a new property:
X-Orch-UniqueID
Add this as a Named Property with these settings:
Kind: MNID_STRING
ID: X-Orch-UniqueID
Property Set: PUBLIC
- When configuring the Archive Objects, use the archive name you specified in archint.ini and add a property mapping for X-Orch-UniqueID to APMUAUID.
- Create a new Archiving Policy for the archive CSXAPMARCHIVE, setting the Deletion Type to ‘Message’.
- Set the archiving policy on the output mailbox used by the Universal Adapter by editing the mailbox properties in the Policies for Mailboxes section.
- Configure:
- The Universal Adapter.
- RDM to retrieve email data from the IBM DB2 Content Manager.
