Notes Import Requirements

Before running a Notes import operation, note the requirements for each Event Import host machine:

• Notes must be installed on the host machine.
• The Notes user on the host machine must have access to all Notes databases that you want to import emails from. If you intend to use the NSF.DeleteAfterImport parameter, the Notes user must have sufficient rights to delete emails after a successful import operation.
• CA DLP needs to access the Notes user on the Event Import host. That is, you need to set the password for this user. To avoid a security loophole, you need to configure wgncred.exe to securely cache this password. The corresponding parameter for setting this password in import.ini is. NSF.ImportPassword.

Note: When importing emails from a Notes database, be aware that you cannot import directly from the Trash and Junk Mail folders.
