Reset a User Password

Reset a user password when a user account was locked after several failed login attempts, or when the user has lost or forgot the password.

Follow these steps:

  1. In CA ControlMinder Enterprise Management, click Users and Groups, Users, Reset User Password.

    The Reset User Password search page opens.

  2. Type in the search query and click Search.

    The query displays the results according to the search criteria.

  3. Select the user account and click Select.

    The reset password window opens.

  4. Type in the account password in the Confirm Password field.
  5. (Optional) Select the Password Must Change option.
  6. Click Submit.

    CA ControlMinder Enterprise Management resets the user password.
