DOMAINNAME Variable Does Not Have a Value
Symptom:
The built-in <!DOMAINNAME> variable does not have a value.
Solution:
Verify that the endpoint is connected to a domain.
To verify that a Windows endpoint is connected to a domain, do the following:
- Right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Computer Name tab, and click Change.
- Verify that a domain appears in the Member Of Domain: field.
To verify that a UNIX endpoint is connected to a domain, do the following:
- Run the following command:
ypcats hosts
- Verify that the endpoint is connected to a NIS domain.
