CA ControlMinder Password Expiration

The CA ControlMinder Password Expiration report displays the user accounts that have not updated their passwords within a specified number of days. The report provides a summary pie chart that identifies user accounts that have updated their passwords, those whose system access has been suspended due to an expired password, and those whose password has expired, but still have access to the system. The report provides details on user accounts that have not changed their passwords in the last x days including host ID, last password change date, and the reason the user account still has access to the system.

CA ControlMinder has the ability to enhance endpoint password security by providing additional quality checks, and maintaining a history of prior passwords to prevent frequent reuse. As part of this component, the password last change date is maintained. By using this component of the password quality model, CA ControlMinder can identify which users in the enterprise have not changed their password in a specified time period. The significance of this report is that you can use it to centrally determine possible weaknesses in the enterprise login environment due to stale passwords.
