Classes

In CA ControlMinder, the class of a record defines the properties that the record can have. All records in a class have the same properties, though different values for these properties.

Examples of classes are:

Each record contains values for the properties appropriate to the record class. For example, a record in the XUSER class includes such properties as the enterprise user's location and working hours, while a record in the HOSTNET class includes such properties as net services and IP address data.

CA ControlMinder includes predefined classes. You can also define new classes, called user-defined classes.
