Variables are objects in the ACVAR class and can have more than one value. Each variable on an endpoint must have a unique name, and each variable in a policy must have a unique name. You use either of the following methods to create a variable:
Important! You can only create rules that use variables in policies. If you directly update the CA ControlMinder database with a rule that contains a variable, the database cannot compile the rule and CA ControlMinder cannot enforce the rule. You must define a variable before you refer to it in a policy script.
