Types of SSH and Network Device XML Configuration File
CA ControlMinder provides the following SSH and Network Device XML configuration files. You customize these files to suit your enterprise requirements:
SSH Device XML files:
- aix_connector_conf.xml—Defines configuration settings for an SSH device that is an AIX endpoint.
- checkpoint_connector_conf.xml—Defines configuration settings for an SSH device that uses a Check Point firewall.
- Cisco-UCS_connector_conf.xml—Defines configuration settings for an SSH device that is a Cisco UCS endpoint.
- device_connector_conf.xml—Defines configuration settings for a device, for example, a router.
- F5_BigIP.xml—Defines configuration settings for an SSH device that is a F5 BIG-IP load balancing system.
- Macintosh_connector_conf.xml—Defines configuration settings for an SSH device that uses the iOS operating system.
- nis_connector_conf.xml—Defines configuration settings for an SSH device that works with a NIS server.
Note: Use the local root account as the connected user. Perform the following steps:
- Create a NIS endpoint (nis_endpoint_1) and define the root account using the default XML file. (ssh_connector_conf.xml)
- Create another NIS endpoint (nis_endpoint_2) and use the Advanced option to define the root account of the first NIS endpoint.
- ssh_connector_conf.xml—Defines configuration settings for an SSH device that uses the passwd command to change account passwords.
Note: Specify a local user, for example, root, as the connected user.
- sudo_connector_conf.xml—Defines configuration settings for an SSH device that uses the sudo and passwd commands.
- vms_connector_conf.xml—Defines configuration settings for an SSH device that is a VMS endpoint.
Network Device XML Files:
- Cisco_3750_default.xml—Defines configuration settings for a network device that is a Cisco 3750 network device.
- Cisco_ASA_default.xml—Defines configuration settings for a network device that is a Cisco ASA network device.
- Cisco_PIX_default.xml—Defines configuration settings for a network device that is a Cisco PIX network device.
- netdevice_connector_conf.xml—Defines configuration settings for a network device that is a Cisco 2600 network device.
- Checkpoint_SPLAT.xml—Defines configuration settings for a network device that is a Checkpoint SPLAT network device.
- Juniper_ISG.xml—Defines the configuration settings for a network device that is a Juniper ISG network device.
- Juniper_NetScreen.xml—Defines the configuration settings for a network device that is a Juniper NetScreen network device.
- Nokia_IPSO.xml—Defines the configuration settings for a network device that is a Nokia IPSO network device.
